SUSTAINABILITY
Empowerment extends beyond the self; it's a pact with the planet. At True Sanity, sustainability isn't a marketing buzzword – it's a daily practice, an ongoing commitment, and an honest assessment of where we are and where we're going.
Harmonious connection means connection to Earth.
We're not perfect. We're not "100% sustainable." But we're committed to transparency about our actual practices and measurable progress.
What We're Doing Right Now
99.9% of Recycled Gold
New gold mining devastates landscapes, contaminates water supplies, and often exploits vulnerable workers. So we use recycled gold – already extracted, already refined, chemically identical to new gold but without the environmental carnage.
Every ring, every necklace, every piece carries gold that's lived a previous life. We think that's poetic. We know it's responsible.
Ethical Gemstone Sourcing
We source from verified mines and mine-connected dealers across Brazil, Africa, and Colombia. Every natural diamond comes with Kimberley Process certification.
We maintain direct relationships so we can trace the journey of each stone – not perfectly, not yet, but far better than industry standard.
Lab-Grown Diamond Options
We offer both natural and lab-grown diamonds because transparency means honest information, not ideology.
Lab-grown diamonds:Â Chemically identical to natural, use significantly less water and energy, cost less (savings we pass to you), have zero mining impact.
Choose based on your values. We'll support either decision with complete honesty.
50-75% Recyclable Packaging
Our current packaging is 50-75% recyclable. Not 100%. Not yet.
We're working toward fully recyclable and eventually compostable packaging, but we won't claim we're there until we actually are.
Harmonious connection requires honesty about our progress, not inflated claims about our intentions.
Where We're Going
We're not there yet. But we're committed to the journey and to being transparent about our progress every step of the way.
Fully Green Operations (Target: 2027-2028)
- 100% recyclable or compostable packaging
- Carbon-neutral shipping across all operations
- Renewable energy in all facilities (New York, Mumbai, Jaipur, Bangkok)
- Water reclamation systems in cutting and polishing facilities
- Zero-waste production processes
Circular Economy Model (In Development)
- Lifetime repair services for all True Sanity pieces
- Trade-in and recycling programs for your old jewelry (from any brand)
- Refurbishment services to update vintage pieces
- Full lifecycle responsibility for everything we create
Because harmonious connection to Earth means taking responsibility not just for what we sell, but for what happens to it decades from now.
Why We Don't Claim Perfection
Many jewelry brands claim to be "100% sustainable" or "completely eco-friendly." Here's the truth:
If you're making physical products and shipping them around the world, you have environmental impact. Period.
We could greenwash our messaging. We could focus on the 99.9% recycled gold and ignore the packaging that's not yet fully recyclable. We could make grand claims about being carbon-neutral without doing the actual work.
But that's not harmonious connection. That's not transparency. That's not us.
Instead, we commit to:
- Honest assessment of our current impact
- Measurable improvement year over year
- Public accountability for our environmental goals
- Genuine progress over marketing spin
Sustainability as Legacy
When you choose a True Sanity piece, you're choosing jewelry designed to last not just for a season, but for generations.
Our designs are timeless rather than trendy. Our craftsmanship is heirloom-quality. Our materials are meant to be passed down, worn, loved, and eventually recycled into new pieces that carry their own stories.
This is sustainability that extends beyond environmental impact into the realm of meaning.
Jewelry that lasts physically and emotionally. Pieces that create harmonious connection not just in the moment of purchase, but across decades and generations.
Sustainability is a collective effort. Here's how you participate:
Your Role in Our Journey
The Pact. The Promise. The Path Forward.
Because at the end of the day, sustainability isn't about perfection. It's about progress. It's about honesty. It's about showing up each day committed to doing a little bit better than yesterday.
