Morganite is gem beryl in pink, peach and salmon tones, colored by traces of manganese. Treatment and Fading
Most morganite is gently heated to remove yellow or orange tones and leave a purer pink. The resulting pink is stable in normal wear and the treatment is often undetectable, so we disclose all morganite as heat-treated unless stated otherwise, on the product page and in the Transparency Manifest.

Is Morganite Good for Engagement Rings?
Yes, with sensible care. At 7.5 to 8 on the Mohs scale, morganite resists everyday scratches better than most gems, but it is softer than sapphire (9) and diamond (10), so it can show wear on facet edges over many years and can chip if knocked hard. Halos and bezels protect it, and an occasional re-polish restores its finish. Rose gold is its classic partner.

Where Morganite Comes From
Brazil is the largest source today, with Madagascar, Mozambique, Afghanistan, Namibia and the USA also producing morganite. Madagascar, where it was first described, is known for fine, saturated pinks. Origin has little effect on price compared with color and size.

Morganite is one of the most affordable pink gems, and its price per carat rises only modestly with size, so large stones are within reach.
